Swinging Air Force

For event planning and acrobatic swing dance shows, contact Dee:

In 1998, a group of passionate swing dancers gathered to form the Swinging Air Force dance team offering acrobatic swing dance shows to the corporate event market in and around Montreal. In 2001 the SAF became the first ever Canadian swing dance team to place in an international competition, finishing third at the American Championships (ALHC). The team's renown spread quickly leading them to travel as performers and teachers serving clients throughout Canada, Europe and the United-States. You have seen the on performing on various TV programs and in their full feature self-produced shows such as "100 YEARS: The History of Swing!" As time went on, the one troupe became several specialized teams focusing on an ever wider array of forms of artistic expression including many forms of dance but also circus and music. Many of our dancers are also members of the multi-country elite dance team the Ninjammerz and give swing dance classes under the Studio 88-SWING banner. Several of our dancers also teach on the international circuit, please get in touch with us for bookings or more details.

Today, the SAF Entertainment Group is not only the most long-running and decorated swing dance team in North America, but also a collective of artists driven by a strong desire to share their passion with their clients and their client's clients, by putting together out of the ordinary customized shows and events filled with energy and originality. Looking for a DJ, a band or any kind of show, call us!

Making your event spectacular is our passion; we look forward to meeting you!

The only swing dance school in the greater Montreal specialized in Rockabilly Jive. This very energetic dance which is mostly danced to Rockabilly music but can also be danced to Rock and Roll and Swing music. The 1950's ambiance is very much alive in this dance, especially regarding the rebel attitude common to all the icons of this era like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent or Jerry Lee Lewis, just to name a few.

The classes are taking place in our newly renovated studio located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal at the corner of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Pine avenue.
